"Chaos Wave Synth - an alternative and complimentary partner to the Korg Kaoscillator"
Chaos Wave
Chaos Wave Pro:
The Chaos Wave Pro should be released in Jan/Feb 2009 and will add extra features to the Chaos Wave standard.
* MIDI Out functionality (allowing the controller tamplates, like filter gates to be exported)
* VST Plug-In hostable (for use in Cubase etc.)
* Digidesign RTAS plug-in hostable (for use in Digidesign ProTools)
* More sounds included
* Another instrument layer added
* An audio in, so external sounds can be effected by the Chaos Wave effects (i.e. filter gate).
Akai MPC owners, may also raise an eye brow at this one...
The upgrade price for the Chaos Wave has yet to be fixed.
The Chaos Club:
Join the Chaos Club and enjoy everything Chaos Wave Synth.
Also get FREE updates and extra FREE sounds and power user tips about making music. And meet other chaos makers...
BTW if you have made some really cool stuff of your own, then you can share (or sell) it with other members in our Chaos Wave Synth production room!
OK so because of limited stock, and its' appearance on the Channel 5 Gadget Show with Suzi Perry, you may well have not got a Korg Kaoscillator for Christmas. Not our fault!
So what could still bring a smile to your face? Chaos Wave Synth of course!
Chaos Wave is NOT an emulation of the Korg Kaoscillator, at all.
It is NOT hardware either. It is a PC software, that will run "standalone" on a Windows XP PC, such as a laptop, or desktop (or it "should" run on an Apple Mac under any of the PC emulator shells).
So just to say it again, Chaos Wave Synth is NOT hardware and NOT an emulated or modelled virtual Korg.
So what the hang is it?
* Chaos Wave (standard) is a standalone PC (Windows XP) "program". It uses the mouse to control it and it produces audio out of your PC sound audio outputs.
Chaos Wave also comes with a "shell" that wil let you record your performance as audio to a WAVE file, which you can then convert to MP3, or whatever, to burn as an audio CD to use in your DJ set, in your podcast on your web site, with your YouTube video. Or whatever else you can do with a Wave file.
(You can also record your PC audio however you want, either with a physical cable, or perhaps using a virtual audio router.)
* Chaos Wave, can make a noise! As musical as you are...
* It has a virtual XY touch pad, which can be used in either NOTE (for playing tunes) or CONTROLLER mode (for filter effects).
* It has a backing track to play over (this can include your own previous performance. Not exactly real-time overdub, but as close as recording and loading a wave file. You can repeat this process for Sound On Sound type techniques.).
We'll be putting up YouTube video marketing demos as soon as we get a chance....
Naturally our priority is to get the synth in to peoples hands as soon as we can.
(See Chaos Wave Pro for more professional music studio or music composer features)

Demo MP3 (beta V0.1):
This is a very quick live demo of beta version 0.1.
Apologies if it goes on a bit and is unstructured, but I was having too much fun.
This is a 1 finger note, with the filter sequencers applied to it.
For a longer demo, join the Chaos Wave Synth club as a FREE member and you can download the files from there.
Screen shot (beta V0.1):
Here's a quick screen shot of beta 0.1.
NB it is subject to change as we keep refining it.
Updates will be FREE until version 1.99 and then free for club members.
